Gert-Jan van der Vossen

Gert-Jan van der Vossen has been a partner of Holland Consulting Group since 1997.

He advises (top-)management in complex change processes concerning the financial-economic management and control of organizations. In this area he also performs audits. In addition he supervises in cases of cooperation and merger and he advises management on the design and implementation of business economic management instruments, such as activity-based costing, benchmarking, performance management, responsibility accounting, transfer pricing and value-based management. He is widely experienced in the realization of result improvement in organizations in crisis. His assignments are carried out both in the profit sector and the not for profit sector.

After completing his Corporate and Social Economic Law study at the University of Utrecht, he worked for, among others, Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants in the Financial Economic Management consulting group, and for the financial-economic management consulting firm Izeboud Sporrel. At the same time he attended the post-doctoral Controller course at the Free University of Amsterdam. He subsequently became part-time manager of the Post Doctoral Controller course at the University of Amsterdam and part-time lecturer of Management Control & Accounting.

He is presently lecturer at various post-doctoral courses in the field of Chance Management, Financial Management, Management Accounting and Management Control. Among other things he lectures at the Free University of Amsterdam's Post Doctoral Management Consultant course, the Erasmus University of Rotterdam's Post Doctoral Management Consultant course, and at the VERA (advanced education for chartered accountants of the Dutch Royal NIVRA). In addition he organizes various in-house education and training courses.

He is a member of the Dutch Association of Chartered Controllers, and within that association he is a member of the disciplinary board. He is also a member of the European Accounting Association and the American Accounting Association. Gert-Jan van der Vossen has authored various publications in the fields of performance measurement, value-oriented management and cost control.
